BIG TIME BIRTHDAY: The Portland Art Museum was the site on Friday night for the Opening Night of the Northwest Filmmakers' Festival and the kickoff of the Northwest Film Center's 40th Anniversary Season.

Of course, this "birthday party" wasn't complete without a "toast" from the NWFC incredibly gracious Executive Director, Bill Foster, and cake...lots and lots of cakes from various bakeries from across the city (one of my faves was the swirly tower from Pastrygirl). Brainstorm and Dirty Mittens provided the tunes and everyone looked like they either worked in film or on film. Yes, the crowd was that cute.
