LIGHT NIGHT: Congressman Earl Blumenauer is quite the cool cat. I noticed that last night prior to his speaking in front a packed crowd at Rejuvenation in Southeast Portland at a benefit for the very cool cats who create Live Wire! Radio.

Rejuvenation teamed up with the folks at Live Wire! Radio to host Wave of Light Thursday night, a benefit for the local radio variety show. It featured Host Courtenay Hameister with live performances by the Parson Red Heads, Oregon Ballet Theater's Uprising, featuring musical guest Weinland,  Hand2Mouth Theater and Live Wire house poet, Scott Poole, who read from his original work. The evening wrapped up with the All Star Sponsor Jam Band, comprised of members from Live Wire’s esteemed show sponsors.

And then there was Congressman Blumenauer, who made a special appearance talking about his support of Live Wire! and public radio. And biking. And other stuff. Like I said, Earl is one cool cat.
