Lopez, Jackson, Tyler In PDX This Weekend for Idol

The real stars of American Idol: Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Ryan Seacrest

STARDAR REPORT: Just heard word that on Friday we will see the arrival of Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson, and Ryan Seacrest who are all coming to P-town to tape the final Portland auditions for the next season of American Idol.

Ryan Seacrest was here earlier this summer to tape crowd scenes outside the BIG Rose Garden auditions, and I believe there was another audition for the Idol hopefuls sometime between now and then, but this will be the one and only time when the contestants who made it through to the last of the three-part audition process will actually get to perform in front of JLo and her fellow judges.

Now, I wasn't quite sure if all this was true until I did a quick job search check, and noticed a job posting for a production assistant gig this weekend that sounded an awful lot like something Idol might need. Also the twitter account for American Idol said on Thursday night that they are on their way to Portland (twitter knows all).

I am also not quite sure where the actual auditions will be held, but if I know this show, and I pretty much do, then they will be looking for a fairly remote hotel space that has spacious views of a river...hmmmm...my guess is that they'll likely be taping at Jantzen Beach Red Lion on Saturday and Sunday. Not sure though.

And, for a moment there, I thought the fact that Jerry Seinfeld is performing at the Schnitz on Friday night was going to be the big celeb sighting of the week.

This is going to be a great weekend to gawk. Seacrest...er...Beck out!
