IN ECO WE TRUST: This weekend you couldn't stick your butt out into the street without hitting at least one venue that was packed with musicians and the people that go ga-ga for them. After all, this was the weekend when both MFNW and TBA were kicking everything into high gear. But I don't know if they were able to kick it in the same way that our very own Storm Large did at the 20th Anniversary party/benefit bash for the Pearl District's Ecotrust Building.

Now I love this sustainably-minded building. And I also love the sustainably built Storm Large. So I was extremely happy to see these two sustainable powerhouses get together on Saturday night for a little night music. The parking lot of the Ecotrust was transformed into a giant party space, with great eats from Artemis Catering, and very tasty cocktails.

Storm herself proved to be quite the tasty drink of water in a skin-tight jersey-looking gown with a mermaid poof at the bottom. And her singing was spot-on. I love how she even pulled some of her more, well, "special songs" for the crowd.

Congrats to my friends who have helped make the Ecotrust thing happen, especially the one and only Spencer Beebe. That dude gives Storm a run for her money in the cool cat department.
