Last Thursday revelers included Naked Painted Ladies, Gnome-os, Hippy Couple, Stilt Cowboy, Dutch Journalist and Stilt Fairy

STREET MEET: If the world was to end, and instead of panicking everyone decided to party, I betcha you that "last party" would look something like Last Thursday on Alberta Street.

It has been a few months since I strolled down this street fair and, man-o-man, it has become...well...I don't know what its become. It's just HUGE. And BUSY. And PACKED. And WEIRD.  Really, really weird.  Think Oregon State Fair with more exposed nipples and less chubby hubbies.

Somewhere around 20th Street I ran into a pack of pretty boys (think Leo DiCaprio meets Brad Pitt) from Holland who were with my friend, Laura Guimond, from TravelPortland. They were "actors" and crew from the top-rated travel show in The Netherlands in town to tape an episode and check out all the "sights."

Other memorable moments on Alberta St. included scoping out a couple of super-hot naked painted alien/cat ladies and encountering a frat boy who told his buddies that I "eye-f'd him" (dude needs to come out).

I also loved all the stilt-walking, fire-spitting, belly-dancing, flower-sprouting, balloon-bikini-wearing, paper-making, cigar-smoking, food-cart-eating freaks. Beautiful freaks.

Even the bike cops were kind of freaky.  Now, where's the next street party?
