BEACH BOOGIE: Astoria, Oregon is quickly turning into our home away from home...especially when The Astoria Coffeehouse & Bistro hosts one of its popular Q Nights.

This dance party, supporting lgbt rights, is tooooo much fun.

DJ Gray Matter, aka Grayson, always kicks the evening into high gear with his mix of old and new school tunes that literally has the coffeehouse shaking. Mixing drinks behind the bar was a real, live logger named "Peter" and the crowd was a mix of gay, straight, old, young, Astorians, and a whole lot of Portlanders who were there to PARTY!

Juan and I spent our non-dancing moments hanging out in this picture-perfect coastal town (the weather could not have been better) enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of a city that may be celebrating its 200 birthday but acts more like it just turned 21.
