THE NIGHT BELONGS TO...: Saturday night was perfect, just perfect, at the Pearl District's Jinx Bar.

We gathered there around 9 pm for a few birthday drinks with birthday girl Suzan Allen who, if you don't know her, is a longtime Portland party gal who moved away for a few years and now has returned home—and still knows how to kick a night into high gear.

The night started, kind of, quiet, but with the help of DJ Tony somehow blasted off into something entirely different. The straights were on the right side, the gays had taken over the left side of the club and somewhere in the middle was a dance floor that bubbled with omni-sexual energy via the likes of Susanne Orton, Jim Invancie, Michael Marcheschi, Phil Peach and a bunch of cute guys and gals who joined in on the party.

Yeah, it was that kind of night.
