Drink Up: Portland Indie Wine & Food Festival
SIP ON THIS: Spring is in the air, which means it's time for one of the city's best wine and food events of the year - the Portland Indie Wine & Food Festival.
This Saturday, May 14th is a once a year opportunity to meet rising star winemakers from emerging cellars across the state in a farmer’s market-style setting, in a warehouse in NE Portland.
This year, $75 gets you tastes from more than 50 juried, often hard-to-find boutique wineries from across the state. The wines will be accompanied by bites from some of Portland’s top restaurants and culinary artisans like Clyde Common, Nostrana, St. Jack. and Metrovino. Besides the top notch food and wine, one reason this is such an anticipated spring event, is that you can buy the wine right from the winemaker and stock up for summer parties - or for your cellar. Most of the wines being poured are very limited in production and not widely available to purchase. Visit www.indiewinefestival.com
