Chow Now: Eat Mobile Under The Morrison Bridge

EAT THIS...AND THAT...AND THAT! As food-tasting cluster-@#k's go, this weekend's Eat Mobile, presented by Willamette Week, was incredibly organized and, yes, incredibly well-attended.
In fact, the super popular event for the food obsessed was beyond sold out.
A spectacular showcase of the best food carts that dot our city, the moment I walked into the Eat Mobile venue—a stretch of street under the Southeast Morrison Bridge that was transformed on a sunny Saturday into a mega-sized food court—I couldn't help to think that, for those few hours, that no other food experience in the world could match the flavors of that particular event. Every corner of the world seemed to be covered, from Guam to The Deep South to Poland, it was all there. And, yes, I even discovered a cart that isn't that far from where I live, The Baowry, that not only had great bao but also had some of the longest lines of the night. And, yes, there were plenty of long lines, but hey, they went pretty fast, right?
Hats off to the crew who pulled this off and to the carts that have the balls to name themselves Wet Hot Beef, Brown Chicken Brown Cow and Kim John Grillin'.
