Drag Race: The Big Finale...and Byron Beck in Drag?
That would be me in full drag. I think I look like The Cowardly Lion & Ann Margaret.
DRAG TIME: Thursday night's big finale of this year's "Drag Race at Red Cap Garage" was full of surprises. For example, there was no clear front runner during the entire season, so no one really knew who might win. And after 12 weeks of judges scoring and other tabulations were put into place we all found out together it was...drum roll please...Arana!
Drag Race Season 3 Winner Arana, 1st Runner Up Kelly, 2nd Runner Up Bebe J.
A crowd favorite for sure, Arana led the pack in original handmade designer ensembles that could have easily come off the runway. And, eventually, her performance quality matched her outfits making her an easy fit for the crown.
And, oh yeah, did I forget to mention that I did drag for the very first time in my life?

Well, it wasn't the very first. There was that time I dressed up as a girl dressed up as a man...but that was complicated. This was the first time I dressed up a gal in full makeup.
My face came courtesy of the winner of Portland Drag Race Season One, Sabel Scities, and my dress, hair and boobs came from the hostess of our show, the incomparable Poison Waters. Thank you both for making me look, if not beautiful, at least acceptable.

l loved the chance to join my fellow judges, Tamra Scanlan and Maria, who were also in full drag, but I doubt I'll ever do this again...well, maybe. And congrats to ALL the ladies of Drag Race. Oh my gawd, I had no idea what you all go through to make yourself into a queen, and at least for one night, now I do.
