GOODBYE MY FRIEND: On Saturday Juan and I attended a memorial service for Kent T. Magionos. Kent would've loved it. It was held during a few brief moments of sunny weather that bathed the suburban Catholic church where the service was held in golden sunlight. Kent, who was always a big supporter of non-profit causes and one the sweetest guys I've ever had a chance to know, was surrounded by family and friends. And at the reception that followed I couldn't help but think that my Catholic friends sure know how to lay out a great spread—with several versions of mac and potato salad it had all the makings of a Sweet Tomatoes salad bar.
