Starbucks President Cliff Burrows, Adam Cerrillo, LeeLee Sobieski and Katee "Starbuck" Sackhoff

CELEB-U-WATCH: Instead of making my regularly scheduled appearance on The Cort & Fatboy Show where I would have had a chance to meet in person the woman who played "Starbuck" on the popular Battlestar Galactica series, Katee Sackhoff, I actually met someone who many might consider an even more important "Starbuck": The president of Starbucks Coffee Cliff Burrows.

The prez of the mega-coffee company was in town to meet a few "partners" as well as take a quick tour of a select group of downtown stores. Burrows, who is originally from Zambia but has spent a good time of his life in the U.K., says this was the first time he had a chance to visit downtown Portland since he arrived in this country and was named Starbuck's Chief Executive in 2008. The witty guy expressed his gratitude for the good works of the Portland partners, including one of my favorites, Adam Cerrillo.

Speaking of Starbucks and celebs, it seems that film actress LeeLee Sobieski was spotted picking up a latte at a downtown Portland coffee joint just this morning. No word on why the actress, who was featured in Joan of Arc and Romy and Michele's High School Reunion Never Been Kissed, is in town.

Xmas Day Update: An anonymous tip says that "Mrs. Sobieski is in town because her fashion designer husband (or is it still fiancé?) Adam Kimmell is in town for a photo shoot." And now we know.
