OMG: AMNW's Iron Chef Gingerbread House Challenge
Team "Red" just prior to the big Iron Chef Gingerbread House Challenge
IN DA' HOUSE: AMNorthwest graciously included me again today in their annual broadcast from Providence's "Festival of Trees" at the Oregon Convention Center.
My job was to provide colorful commentary during the always wacky "Iron Chef Gingerbread House Challenge." And today's contest was no different than in previous years. A team of high school kids had less than an hour to create a house out of cookies, candy and a whole lotta of icing. But this year was probably a wee bit more wackier than in previous years due to the fact that my go-to-guy during the show was none other than the new traffic guy, Michael Convery. He was a hoot and seemed much more into tasting the "houses" than commenting on them. Here are a few photos of the show including this shot with FOX-TV's "Joe V." (who was also broadcasting from the big tree event) pictured with AMNorthwest's own Dave Anderson and Helen Raptis.
