FLOWER POWER: Portland's own Geranium Lake Flowers, and my buddy Kim Foren, is the "official florist" for the first ever mid-air same sex marriage.

Geranium Lake Flowers, one of the Pacific Northwest’s leading floral and event designers, was hand-selected to participate in a history-making event for the LGBT community.   Geranium Lake Flowers will provide boutonnieres, wedding flowers and floral décor for a special wedding banquet and rehearsal dinner in New York City on December 6th to kick off the festivities.

SAS Airlines launched a contest to host the world’s first ever same-sex wedding in the air onboard an Airbus A340 between Stockholm and NYC. And after a mass social media campaign through SAS, Visit Sweden and the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, three couples won (two were from Europe and one from the USA). They will celebrate their union with a reception on December 6th in NYC at the Ramscale Penthouse. The SAS cabin will be converted into a wedding “chapel” for the event. And after the NYC receptions, the two European couples will celebrate their honeymoon in Los Angeles and the American couple will be flown to an Ice Hotel in Sweden. Portland's Geranium Lake Flowers will provide boutonnieres, wedding flowers and floral décor for a special wedding banquet and rehearsal dinner in New York City on December 6th to kick off the festivities and and Dufflet Small indulgences will be providing the dessert, a massive airplane cake.
