CELEB-U-WATCH: I have it on very good authority (as in my friend heard him say his name when he checked in at the front desk of his hotel) that Matthew Perry is in Portland, Oregon.

I will spare Perry the stares from the public-at-large this weekend and not mention the hotel where he is currently residing, other than to say that he is curled up at Portland's equivalent of celeb central.

I can't find a clue on the web as to why Perry might be in town—perhaps he's shooting an episode of "Portlandia"?—and it doesn't jibe with what he recently said on People.com about his turkey day traditions.

But my source insists that Matthew Perry arrived at his hotel late in the afternoon on Thanksgiving Day (and is said to be looking very dapper, too). So if you happen to see him around town over the next couple of days, shopping or say, taking in a parade or tree lighting, make sure to say "hi," okay?

  He was at Bridgeport Cinema. I kindly walked up to him and asked if he "Really was Chandler from Friends" and he looked at me like he was disgusted and said "IT'S MATTHEW!" I know he is a celebrity and all, but he was seriously rude. Anyway, cool to see him. I see celebs at Bridgeport frequently, The Jonas Brothers were at Verizon one time...

  Yeah I was there at Bridgeport and we has not rude to anyone, in fact he took several pictures with people and sign some autographs....maybe you approached him in a rude manor but I saw him from the minute he walked in and went into the theatre and he was more than polite to everyone.

  Saw him out on Friday night...he stopped and posed for pics with some people in the Voodoo Doughnut queue. He looked a little messed up...LoL.
