Courtenay Hameister's mom, Sally, and Storm Large at Aura

STORM & STELLA: It was nice to hang with the rare bird that is Storm Large on her last night in the city before she heads south for the winter.

Albeit I wasn't alone with her. Storm was joined by her band, fellow songbird Stephanie Schneiderman, author Chelsea Cain, Scott Poole, special guests and a slew of friends for what was billed as an "Intimate Evening With Storm Large."

Held Thursday night at the beautifully appointed Aura, the swankified event was a  benefit for the short film "Stella's Flight," written and directed by the comic genius that is Courtenay Hameister (who fans of The Cort and Fatboy Show might just know by another name).

With friends, family, a quick peek at the film and plenty of love bouncing around the room, all in all, it was a spot-on perfect night.

Storm, we are missing you already.
