The boys of Tabla at The Jupiter Hotel's Indulge Festival

EAT ON THIS: Thursday night, Indulge, The Jupiter Hotel's celebration of all things LoBu (Lower Burnside) and a bit beyond brought together local indie business owners for a community-wide festival of eating, drinking and celebrating and featured a sampling some of Oregon's finest craft liquors, beers and wines, as well as Southeast's hottest restaurateurs.

So next door neighbor, Le Pigeon, was nowhere to be seen. Nor was Noble Rot. But Laurelhurst Market was there (serving spam, no less) as were many of my favorite haunts in town including Alma Chocolates, Bakery Bar, Beaker & Flask, Doug Fir, Genoa/Accanto, Meat Cheese Bread, Navarre, Olympic Provisions, Spints, Steve’s Cheese Bar, Xocolatl de David Chocolates and Tabla Bistro. Ryan, Christian and Johnny from House Spirits thoroughly entertained the packed crowd in a room decked out to look like a "fern bar" from the 80's (complete with a mega-mix that rocked the house). And Spitball Media did an amazing light show in not one, but three different areas of the foodie fete. What a cool party and a great way to discover one of this city's most vibrant districts. I wish every neighborhood did something like this.

By the way, has any noticed how frigging HAWT all the chefs in town are right now?
