FUNNY NAME, GREAT IDEA: Foodportunity Portland is just around the corner.

Foodportunity is a networking event for food writers/bloggers, chefs, restaurant owners, food p.r. peeps, food tweeters and just all around food-passionate people.

It's an event where you basically walk around and taste from all the restaurants and companies while connecting with chefs and other foodie folks.

There's even a speed networking session lead by myself, Byron Beck.  It's like speed dating for food people.

There will also be local chefs and food personalities available to answer questions including Heathman's Philippe Boulot,  Castanga's Matt Lightner, Beast's Naomi Pomeroy and Le Pigeon's Gabe Rucker.
