Tess Durham's photos will be on display for the next week at Cargo

ROOM FOR ART: I have heard of small art shows. But this just might take the cake box.

That's because, tomorrow, on 1st Wednesday Tess Durham’s photography will be displayed inside the original freight elevator (weight limit one ton) located in one of the most original shops in Portland, Cargo (380 Northwest 13th Ave., (503) 243-7804).

That said, Durham's quirky pics (see above) will be the perfect space for such a quirky space.

An opening reception takes places, Wednesday, September 1st from 6 to 9 pm and the show will be in place through Sunday, September 5th, Monday, Sept. 6, 2010.

  thanks byron for the plug - quirky is a favorite word of mine. i am excited. i know bridgid will add the finishing touches for the show - what a swell place. it is my home away from home.
  one correction: the gallery stays up through labor day.... for stragglers.
