BEER, BIKE & SONG: Portland Opera held its second annual Bikes and Beer Event on Friday. And, man oh man, who knew mixing beer and bikes with Carmina Burana would be such a hit? Held on the riverside patio of the Opera's Southeast Waterfront offices, the late afternoon get-together gathered a diverse group of folks who you wouldn't think would be such opera lovers. Perhaps it was the beer and the fact that is was free and inches from their bike trail that might have had something to do with it. Or maybe it was the white albino snake; the same one that will be featured in the upcoming production of Carmina Burana. The opera is way too cool for school...love it!
