SUMMER FUN: Here are some pics from a few of the parties I attended over the last few days. Enjoy ( I sure did)!

CUPCAKE JONES: The following photos were snapped at a the 3rd Anniversary party for one of the sweetes places in town: Cupcake Jones. Congrats to Lisa Watson (above with hubby Peter) for kicking ass in the cut-throat cupcake biz.

BON VOYAGE, ETHAN: The invite said the following: "Cheap Vietnamese food + face-melting cocktails + Counting Crows on karaoke = You'll be glad to see me go!" Translated it was a party for local scribe Ethan Smith, who in his infinite wisdom has decided its time to leave Portland and venture all the way to New York City to study law. His going away party included former colleagues, including writer Jill Spitznass (pictured above with Smith), and friends.

BASIC RIGHTS GARDEN PARTY: Multnomah County Commission District 2 Candidate Karol Collymore (pictured above with Juan Martinez) had a chance to say why she supports Basic Rights Oregon at the home of Sharon Murtagh late Sunday afternoon at a garden party in support of BRO's Education Fund.
