Stardar Report: Sara Bareilles Gets Buzzy at Hotel Monaco

BAREILLES BEGUILES: It was so exclusive I'm not exactly sure how I ended up with an invite. But there I was, next to Timmy, the hotel dog, and about 50 other lucky folks in the lobby/living room of the Hotel Monaco rocking out to the tunes of singer/songwriter Sara Bareilles. The woman behind such pop ditties as "Love Song" (aka "I don't want to sing you a love song" song) appeared on Wednesday night at one of downtown's most beautiful lobbies with her band for a brief set of new and old favorites as part of 105.1's "Buzz Lounge" series. Bareilles, dressed like a French sailor/model, looked at extremely at ease in the intimate setting. And was probably a lot more comfortable than the last time she played a somewhat small room. In a pre-concert interview with The Buzz's Sheryl Stewart (pictured above with Sara) Bareilles confessed she was a little taken aback when, during her recent concert at The White House, President Obama's kids started to sing along to her songs.
