CHINA AND THE CITY: It wasn't just any birthday party. It was a birthday soiree for China Forbes. Singer, songwriter and Pink Martini's femme fatale, China celebrated her big day with friends and family in one of the most amazing spaces I've ever seen: Define Studios & Lifestyle Loft. Located on the edge of Northwest Portland, it sort of reminds what Bruce Wayne's gym might look like if he had worked with a really great interior decorator.This healthy lounge offers everything from yoga to hip hop dance to progressive massage techniques to cooking sessions. It is, literally, a breath-taking space where the likes of Storm Large (who was spotted at China's party, above center, chatting up the birthday girl and Amy Faust, left) and others tune up their engines. Birthday well-wishers included Karen Brooks, Paige Powell, Bruce Carey, Mike King, Andy Ricker, Byron Oshiro and loads of other friends.
