Peter Zuckerman is an author and all-around-cool-dude.

According to his wikipedia page his forthcoming book, Buried in the Sky, co-written with Amanda Padoan, tells the true story of the 2008 K2 disaster from the perspective of Sherpa and Pakistani climbers whom Western climbers depend on. His wiki page also includes the little known news that his book, which is being published in 2010 in the United States and Canada by WW Norton, will also be published in the U.K., Australia and New Zealand by Orion Publishing Group.

But that's all for another blog post.

This one is all about a party held in his honor (it was his birthday, after all) in his brand new digs.

And, yes, his boyfriend, Mayor Sam Adams, was there to help him blow out his candles.
