Sights of the Holidazed with Nick Fish! Drew Carney! Dave Allen! Jill Spitznass! Renee Mitchell! Lisa Schroeder! Thomas Lauderdale too!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS: Rather than try to link up all the assorted events/places I've been in the last week, I thought it might be nice to show you the "highlight" reel focusing in on some of the sights and great folks I've run into. Think of it as the slideshow you always have to endure whenever you visit your parents. Enjoy!
POLITICOS SHOP TOO: Here is a photo of City Commish Nick Fish (photographed with my partner Juan) out on an errand in downtown. Just a few minutes later I ran into the seemingly always dour looking State Senator Mark Haas perusing the shoe department of the Nordstrom Rack.

RING MY BELL: On that very same day, none other than KGW-TV funny guy, Drew Carney, opened the door for us at Macy's as part of his Salvation Army ring-chiming duties. And, no, he didn't have all his holiday shopping done either.

GANG OF TWO: Here is the always charming Gang of Four member and Fight guy, Dave Allen, and his lovely wife, Paddy, at their home in Southwest Portland. Sorry about the red eye guys, it was that time of night.

JINGLE JILL: Here is Portland Bride and Groom Editor Jill Spitznass, KINK radio's Sheila Hamilton, and publicist Bette Sinclair at Jill's very special birthday/holiday bash. What a great party!

WRAP STAR: Here is former Oregonian columnist, and spoken word poet, S. Renee Mitchell volunteering her time for charity at the wrapping station in front of Lloyd Center's Barnes and Noble.

CHRIST-MA-ROKE: Rob Samples spun the tunes at Mother's Bistro Christmas Karaoke night. But these weren't just any holiday ditties. For some odd reason, most of the songs were set to what was dubbed an "urban" beat making them sound less like Mitch Miller and more like Motown. IT WAS AWESOME! That's Chef Lisa Schroeder in front leading the choir.

NICE BALLS: Holiday trees don't just decorate themselves. There is work to do. And one of the hardest working group of tree elves in town had to be the crew that helped Thomas Lauderdale garnish the nearly 25-foot tall Noble fir that he (and his elf friends) personally cut down in Damascus, Ore. Covered from tip to toe in vintage ornaments, the tree is literally dripping with holiday goodness. Here are photos from his, egg nog-fueled tree-trimming party.
