PostHeaderIcon Foodie News: New NoPo Rib Cart Will Have You Licking Your Lips for Just Two Bucks. Really.

LOVE ON A ROLL: Inexpensive barbecue is hard, if not impossible, to find.

So to find a rolling 'cue shack that actually serves a decent rib on a roll for only two bucks, well, that's a little like getting one of your Christmas presents early.

Saucy’s Rib and Fish, LLC is one of the new food carts located in the slowly expanding Refuel Station North cart pod—just a few feet away from Brother Bob’s Roving Bakery—and it is damn good.

On top of that you can beat the prices, especially for a cart. Saucy’s (it was previously located way up Killingsworth Street on 60th Avenue) features a $7 menu that includes dinner-sized portions of fish or ribs with choice of sides or salads. But it’s the price-busting mini-menu that literally had me running for the cart. Two-buck items include one giant spare rib on a slider-sized roll, a hot link on a bun, a hearty fried catfish sammie, potato or coleslaw salad and crispy fries.

If you want a whole slab owner Rick Johnson (pictured with his wife above) can do that to.

Just give Rick a two-hour advance notice because, well, that’s how Saucy rolls.

Saucy's: North Killingsworth Street and Greeley Avenue, 503-807-7015, Portland, OR 97217.
