UPDATE, Friday, Dec. 4, 5 pm: Despite that I was told by a friend that absolutely, postively believes they had close contact with Morgan Freeman in a Pearl District elevator, word from a member of his inner circle, says that he was actually in Los Angeles all day yesterday.

Invictus Star In Portland: Last time Morgan Freeman was spotted in town he was filming 2007's "Feast of Love."

Now I've just heard word that the man who is currently starring as Nelson Mandela in Invictus was justed spotted in a Pearl District parking lot near REI.

In fact someone rode the elevator with him.

So why is the bigtime Hollywood star in Portland?

A quick Google search brings up nothing.

He is currently working on a movie, The Last Full Measure, which according to this >Variety report, iss the story of an Air Force officer investigating whether a war hero should get the Medal of Honor, 30 years after he died in the Vietnam War.

So, Mr. Freeman, what brings you to Portland?
