On The Wend: Party to Save The Planet in Portland

DAY TRIPPERS: What did you do Saturday?
Clean the gutters? Watch Oregon kick Washington's butt? Or did you help save the world?
350.org’s International Day of Climate Action was dedicated to educating earth’s inhabitants about the maximum amount of atmospheric carbon dioxide density our shared world can handle for sustaining life as we know it. 350 parts per million is that number.
I know it sounds wonky. It is.
Most of the day, in Portland, that meant paddling into a 350 formation on the Willamette River.
Thankfully, after all that, Wend magazine threw an "office" party in industrial Northwest Portland that not only tied into the 350 theme but included wine and cookies.
It was also to celebrate the fall issue of Wend.
If you don't know about Wend magazine it's high time you do. Click here to get educated.
