Epic Epilogue: The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER: We had only one read-through.
And only one rehearsal.
But we pulled it off.
We pulled off the stage reading of The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later, an Epilogue at the Newmark Theater on Monday night.
The show updated what has happened to the townspeople of Laramie, Wyoming since Matthew Shepard was brutally murdered there ten years ago.
Presented by New Century Players and Bling Dental the group that gathered on stage for the show included the incredible talents of Beth Harper, Allen Nause, Rose Riordan, Helen Raptis, Scott Yarbrough, Katie Sundt, Troy Lakey, Kathleen Cafiero, Paul Glazier, Kelley Marchant, Sharonlee McClean, Jake Michaels, Dan Murphy, Chris Murray (and, gulp, yours truly), under the direction of Stan Foote. It was a benefit for the Matthew Shepard Foundation and Basic Rights Oregon.
It was humbling to know that over 100 theaters across the globe were doing the same piece as we were at approximately the same time.
And it was moving to join others on the anniversary of Matthew Shepard's death.
Matthew did not die in vain. And the show was an incredible tribute to him.
I was honored to be a part of it.
Here are a few pictures of the cast, and the after-party at Ten01.
