MORNING GLORIES It was way too early to get up on a Sunday morning, but EVERYBODY did it. 

And why? Well, it was for a good cause: the 23rd Annual AIDS Walk Portland. 

But, first it was time for a little breakfast.

Several politicians and dignitaries who had partied the night away at the previous evening's BRO Dinner, made sure to set their alarms early enough so they could also make appearance at the AIDS Walk VIP Breakfast held high in the sky at Departure in the Nines Hotel.

Holding court in the ultra cool space was Gov. Barbara Roberts, Multnomah County Commish Jeff Cogen and Chair Ted Wheeler (joined by his lovely wife Katrina), as well as Cascade AIDS Project Executive Director Michael Kaplan. And always, there was Darcelle XV accompanied by his partner, Roxie.

There was also another very special drag queen in the crowd, RuPaul Drag Race contestant Ongina (pictured above with Wheeler and Kaplan), who stopped by for a little coffee and nosh before joining the other VIPs onstage at Pioneer Courthouse Square, the kick-off site for CAP's most well-attended walk ever.
