SHADES OF VENICE: It all seems very Eyes Wide Shut. Venetian masks, sexy burlesque dancers, extravagant performances…It means one thing—the queen of sexy celebrations, Tracy Klinkroth (she's the person behind last month's naughty "Fifty Shades of Grey" party), is back with her signature soiree, Venice is Sinking: A Venetian Masked Carnival Ball.

In its 6th year, Venice is Sinking is one of Seattle's hottest parties and this year, on February 9, Seattle’s Bell Harbor Conference Center will transform into a sensory buffet where wonders and sexiness are around every corner. Rumor has it some of the surprises you can expect include run-ins with stilt-walkers, jugglers, a troupe of aerialists (including Tamara the Trapeze Lady), contortionists, acrobats and burlesque performances from Atomic Bombsells Burlesque.  The soundtrack for the evening will be provided by FRACTAL, with special performances by electric violinist extraordinaire Geoffrey Castle. All guests must wear a Venetian mask in order to gain entry with masquerade/Venetian era costumes strongly encouraged and prizes will be awarded by local celebrities for the best costumes.

Klinkroth, owner of Epiphany Events, was inspired by her idyllic trip to Venice and the beautiful masks she saw during her visit. "I wanted to bring to Seattle the same feast for the senses that I experienced in Venice," Klinkroth said. "The costumes, the masks and the riveting entertainment are all designed to transport you back to Venice’s Carnival for a night."

As for someone who also spent some time in Venice this year, I can wait for this party!
