Downtown Nordstrom is all shiny and bright for this Thursday's Holidate
HOLIDATE UPDATE: For those tired of shopping the 'burbs (pesky parking lots!), Downtown Portland is offering another kind of Holiday shopping experience. Instead of leaving work and making a chore out of what should be fun, downtown workers can go from the offices to nearby shops and get their holiday shopping done with ease. Retailers, restaurants and hoteliers are offering special events and deals every Thursday in December for the annual Holidate with Downtown.
Holidate provides every reason a shopper would need to stay downtown after work and get their shopping done.
Retailers ranging from pop-up shop Enchanted Alpaca to iconic department store Nordstrom will offer wine tastings, trunk shows, demos and deals. Downtown restaurants, like Ruth’s Chris, will be serving holiday themed drinks. The Nines Hotel is offering discounted rooms for those wanting an overnight vacation without leaving the city.
