THE RIGHTS THING: Each year Basic Rights Oregon's Business Leaders Luncheon is where Oregon businesses and corporate leaders take a public stand for fairness and equality.

The annual event, which was held on Thursday afternoon at the Oregon Convention Center, brought together over 500 business executives, community leaders, and elected officials to consider the state of equality in Oregon and promote fairness in the workplace and under the law.

The program included an incredible keynote speaker: a wonderful mother who spoke about love and family. The event was also and an opportunity to recognize individuals for outstanding leadership for gay and transgender equality.
