Chef Gregory Gourdet's Salon 2.0 at Departure

SKY HIGH: On Sunday night, 15 stories above the city, Departure Chef Gregory Gourdet invited the best (and cutest) chefs, bartenders and foodies in town to Salon 2.0 at Departure.

It was Gourdet's way of giving props to all the hard working indie individuals who make this town the envy of the national food scene. It was also a really great get together.

As Gourdet said in his invite: "I'm hosting this event simply so we can get together and eat, drink, catch up and have some fun." It was also a chance for me to hear a little a bit of food gossip while I dined on Chef Gourdet's incredible cuisine as well as some tasty drinks from the bar. And, yes, I promised to keep my mouth shut on the juicy bits of gossip that was shared at this amazingly cool event.

DJ Danny Merkury provided the tunes for all the food pros in attendance. In fact there were way too many food pros at the party for me to mention here, but I am pretty sure you will recognize many familiar faces in the photos.

Gregory is so awesome! What a genuinely nice and fun thing to do. A total non-self-serving, non-snooty "community" thing to do. Kudos!

PS: Byron, just an FYI, it's Rodney Muirhead (not Muir). Hope that helps
