HOLIDAY HIPSTERS: Friday night the creative kids of Sandymontana studio presented the Portland debut of new-blues rocker Hanni El Khatib during an end-of-the-year-event/holiday party at Union/Pine deep in the bowels of the LoBu industrial district.

The newbie converted warehouse space played host to hundreds of incredibly attractive guests drawn as Sandymontana says "from creative and cultural circles, brought together to celebrate and connect with each other against the backdrop of a special night of cutting-edge music."

And the drinks were pretty damn good too.

  I felt very old and ugly at this party. But you made me feel better by including me with the hip and incredibly attractive people on your landing page for this post. That's me, bottom right pic, next to the guy flipping us off.
  
  Note: in my right hand I carry a vodka soda which I didn't drink; while my right hand carries my Droid and, yes, a packet of Kleenex.

  I can see how he got highlighted at a party. He came to my wedding last year and of all the photos from the wedding, the one people respond to the most is the one of Derek standing by himself.
