HIVE HOLIDAYS:  It only makes sense that the same local effects company that makes all those creatures on Grimm sooo creepy would serve some...well...just a wee bit "different" at their annual "office" holiday party. Besides the Bunk sammies and traditional sushi the good folks at HIVE-FX also served up some crickets....yes....crickets.

At first I thought it was just a weird looking piece of unagi...that was until I took my first bite (it tasted like chicken).

Speaking of toothy issues, HIVE-FX is the company that gives Grimm a whole lot of bite with its treasure trove of really cool visual effects it has provided to the popular NBC drama as well as other television and movie projects.

I remember when the HIVE offices were pretty tiny. Now they take up a huge warehouse space in inner Southeast Portland. I am so proud of my friends, Gretchen Miller and Jim Clark, who are pushing this local company to new digital heights.
